We hope to keep it regularly updated. It is divided into events such as upcoming shows and festivals, particularly film screenings or concerts by Hausa-language artists; professional development opportunities for filmmakers; and academic opportunities for Nigerian film scholars. 30 September 2013: Deadline for submissions of films for the Eko International Film Festival, Lagos (late submissions accepted until 15 October 2013) 

Academic Opportunities for Film Scholars

15 August 2013: Abstract deadline for submission of a paper on cityscapes to the journal, Studies in the Humanities.

21-23 November 2013: 31 March 2013: “Human Rights, Literature, the Arts, and Social Sciences” conference to be held 21-23 November 2013, at Central Michigan University.
